Toll-free
Toll-free vanity numbers
A toll-free vanity number is an 800-style number whose last digits spell a word, like 1-855-900-CASA. Callers dial it free from anywhere in the US, and the word makes it easy to remember from a truck, a radio spot or a billboard.
How to get a toll-free vanity number
- Type the word you want, 2 to 7 letters. We check every toll-free code at once (800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877 and 888) and show the numbers that end in your word and are free right now.
- Pick one and pay online. The number is active in about a minute.
- Tell us which phone to ring. Calls to the toll-free number forward to the mobile or office line you already have.
No setup fee, no contract, and no paperwork with a carrier.
Is 800 still available?
800 is the oldest toll-free code, so most short words were taken there long ago. The other codes (833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888) work exactly the same way: free for the caller, nationwide, and just as easy to dial. If your word is gone in 800, it is often still free in a newer code. Shorter words give you more choice, because the word only has to fill the end of the number.
What it costs
A toll-free number is $12 a month: the $9 plan plus $3 for toll-free. That includes 100 minutes of forwarded calls a month, then 5¢ a minute. Cancel any time. Every figure is on the pricing page.
Toll-free or local?
Toll-free suits a business that serves callers in several states, or one that wants to look national. If your customers are all in one city, a number in your own area code can work better. Our guide to local vanity numbers explains the difference, and vanity numbers by state shows which trade words are free locally.
